I’ve recently had a hearing assessment by an audiologist and I need hearing aids. I’ve wondered this for some time and my family finally
nagged me into getting tested. My Mum and sister both have hearing aids too.

My lack of hearing of low tones, notes, does effect my flute playing in our church band. I’m concerned though that when I get the hearing aids it will effect me even more. Does anyone else have hearing aids or hearing impairment? Will the rest of the band be too loud for me with hearing aids in? Will I be able to turn them down but still hear myself? Do you hear differently with hearing aids rather than natural hearing? (I probably need to ask the audiologist this one) Will the sound of my playing still sound nice and be enjoyable to me? I know I can take them out to play/practice I’m just wondering.
