Telstra – Good ideas for Future – One Laptop per Child Initiative

Show your support for the One Laptop per Child Australia program, and help make a real difference to a child in a remote part of the country. By simply sending a message of support, you can become a part of this ‘Idea for Good’. For every 100 text messages, we’ll give an XO laptop to a child who needs it, up to 500 laptops.

One Laptop per Child (OLPC) is an international movement that is concerned with providing education for underprivileged children across the globe. OLPC Australia’s goal is to provide each of the 400,000 children living in remote communities with an XO laptop in the next five years. Telstra’s Ideas for Good program is sending an additional 500 on behalf of Australians and will be helping to deploy more than 15,000 to schools in the next year.
