From my previous posts:

Will home educators have to record daily school attendance and verify their children’s attendance in order to receive Family Tax Benefit?

I spoke to someone from the Education Department about this today and they said that,

Home educating families will only have to show their “exemption from attending school” letter to Centrelink as proof of home education therefore proving “attendace at school”.

I wonder if this will actually be the case and if it matches the answer I’ll get from Mal Brough Federal Government minister for Families, Community Services and Indigenous Affairs? I’m still waiting to hear from Mr Brough……. hopefully it won’t be too long. If I don’t get an answer I think I’ll have to write to him directly.
