Lastnight I rebooted my laptop and it shutdown. I realised the powerboard it was plugged into wasn’t turned on so I turned it on. When I tried to turn the laptop back on it wouldn’t turn on. A few seconds after pressing the on button it turned on by itself, flashed the caps lock, power etc lights and then turned off again – an attempted boot and then turn off, attempted boot and turn off. Nothing came up on the screen at all.

Each time I tried to turn it back on this is what happened. I tried putting it in its docking station but it wouldn’t turn on at all.

Today when I spoke to my sister she suggested leaving the battery out for about 1/2 hour or more. I haven’t put it back in yet I’m going to leave it out for a few hours.
