At the end of last year my son, who turns 18 this April, announced that he was finishing school. He’s never liked school and always found it a struggle. He did enjoy last year doing homeschooling with his sister though.

I was fine with him finishing school as he’s got a job at McDonalds, he’s upgrading and fixing pcs for people and he’s very active in our church, youth group and youth band.

Just this week I had to smile though, he’s found the onlineHewlett Packard Learning Centre, signed up for and is studying one of their networking courses. So much for finishing ‘school’. To me this is what education is about, this is one of the things I want to achieve with my children a lifelong love of learning 🙂
